Internet without Angst
An interview with Adam Engst
by Arthur Greenwald

Less than ten years ago, the Internet was the sole province of academics and computer geeks. Getting connected was no small challenge. But then came Adam Engst and his top-selling Internet Starter Kit. Adam's success as an Internet guru is based partly on being among the first, but more so on a winning formula: less jargon, more context.
Every week, Adam and his wife Tonya explain and popularize the Internet in their newsletter TidBITS -- a must-read for thousands of subscribers. It's no wonder Adam's career has grown as rapidly and unpredictably as the Internet itself.
Adam and Tonya are partners in other projects, too, including the recent release of their most exciting collaboration. Previously code-named Pixel, their son Tristan Mackay Engst was welcomed into the world by one of the largest and most loyal communities on the Net -- the readers of TidBITS!
