Douglas' adventures in Europe as a hitchhiker are well known; but less well known is his love of the great Down Under. His favorite destination is The Great Barrier Reef. "I love Australia and I love scuba diving," he says. His most valued piece of gear? "Industrial grade sunblock."
That sunblock would also come in handy for Douglas' other dream destination. "I've scarcely seen Africa," he says. "I've just been to Kenya, Zaire and Madagascar which are pretty prize sites of course, but it's a mere pin prick on the hide of Africa." That's great, Douglas -- but leave the rhino suit at home!
